CAMPAGNOLO Groupset Super Record Wireless 2x12
Campagnolo launched the first Super Record groupset in 1973. This further development of the Record groupset set new standards in terms of performance, lightweight construction and exclusivity. Today, over 50 years later, Campagnolo presents its first completely wireless electronic groupset. With its sporty and elegant design, the Super Record Wireless is an Italian jewel that adds a touch of luxury to any road bike. All components of the electronic groupset are manufactured in Italy and stand for a high degree of perfection and reliability.
Crank
Without question, the crank of the Super Record Wireless is something to behold. The combination of matt aluminum chainrings and the carbon crankarms with their iconic, shiny finish ensures this. Three different chainring combinations are available which, together with the new cassettes, offer a wide range of gear ratios for every route profile. When developing the drivetrain system, the focus was on smooth and precise chain movement, especially with a larger diagonal chain guide, in order to make optimum use of all 24 gears. For the crankshaft system, Campagnolo relies on its proprietary UltraTorque technology, in which the two-piece titanium axle is permanently connected to the crank arms. The axle halves are equipped with Hirth splines at the contact point and are fixed in place by means of a single oversize bolt when the crank is assembled. This special form of toothing is used wherever precise positioning and repeat accuracy are required. This design also significantly reduces the amount of space required at the side of the axle, which prevents unwanted contact with the ankle when pedaling. The ceramic bearings pressed onto the shaft ensure maximum smoothness and, in combination with ProTech bearing shells, offer unique protection against harmful ingress of water and dirt. Thanks to the variety of Campagnolo ProTech bearing shells, the Super Record Wireless crank is compatible with all common bottom bracket standards.
Front Derailleur
The carbon and aluminum front derailleur is easy to install and maintain thanks to the absence of any cables. The electronic shifting commands are transmitted via an encrypted Bluetooth connection. According to the manufacturer, the removable battery unit has a range of 750 kilometers. The charge status can be checked at any time by pressing the mode button on the derailleur or using the MyCampy 3.0 app. A special feature is that the battery can also be charged when mounted. The USB charging cable has a magnetic connection and makes the charging process extremely user-friendly. The battery is fully charged in just 60 minutes. The front derailleur is compatible with all cassette and chainring options of the Super Record Wireless groupset.
Rear Derailleur
The carbon and aluminum rear derailleur is easy to install and maintain thanks to the absence of any cables. The electronic shifting commands are transmitted via an encrypted Bluetooth connection. According to the manufacturer, the removable battery unit has a range of 750 kilometers. Should you unexpectedly run out of juice on the road, the rear derailleur can be moved manually to a desired position and you can continue your ride in the gear of your choice. The charge status can be checked at any time by pressing the mode button on the rear derailleur or using the MyCampy 3.0 app. A special feature is that the battery can also be charged when mounted. The USB charging cable has a magnetic connection and makes the charging process extremely user-friendly. The battery is fully charged in just 60 minutes. The rear derailleur is compatible with all cassette and chainring options of the Super Record Wireless groupset.
Cassette
The Super Record Wireless cassette is made of steel and has a multi-piece construction to ensure maximum durability. The optimum cadence in every situation is crucial for a first-class riding experience. This is achieved by keeping the twelve gear steps close together and only making small sprocket jumps. There is a choice of three different cassette ratios which, together with the new cranksets, offer a wide range of gear ratios for every route profile. When developing the drivetrain system, the focus was on smooth and precise chain movement, especially with a larger diagonal chain guide, in order to make optimum use of all 24 gears. The cassette is mounted on the newly developed Campagnolo N3W freehub body. This has the same shape as the classic Campagnolo freehub body, but is slightly shorter to make room for the 10-speed sprocket.
Shift/Brake Levers
Thanks to the numerous cassette and chainring options, the Super Record Wireless groupset offers the right gear ratio for every road cyclist. In order to control the 24 gears quickly and precisely, Campagnolo has further developed the proven Ergopower shift/brake lever with detailed adaptations for the electronically shifted system. The new shifter body exactly replicates the asymmetry of the human hand. The new shape increases the contact surface and guarantees maximum safety in all riding situations. The typical Campagnolo C-shaped inner shift lever has been deliberately dispensed with. Instead, shifting takes place via two shift buttons on the lever. These are perfectly positioned, can be controlled precisely and provide excellent tactile feedback. The MyCampy 3.0 app can be used to configure the shift logic as required. The electronic switching commands are transmitted via an encrypted Bluetooth connection. Power is supplied by a standard CR2032 battery, which is easily accessible in the housing and, according to the manufacturer, only needs to be replaced every two years.
Brake
The redesigned brake calliper ensures maximum braking power and guarantees a smooth ride without annoying grinding thanks to additional space for the disk. A wear indicator on the brake pads shows at a glance whether the pads need to be replaced. Rounded edges on the pads also make it easier to change wheels quickly.
Note: The set is supplied without adapters and fastening screws.
Brake Disk
A riveted, two-piece construction and angled ventilation cut-outs ensure excellent heat management and unlimited braking power even under critical conditions. The discs are made of durable stainless steel and have rounded edges, which minimizes the risk of injury and makes threading them into the brake caliper a breeze.
